Take advantage of this downtime and let's use this time to focus on some wedding planning activities. I don’t know about you but some of my favorite pastimes are done while i’m sitting on the couch. So grab your favorite lounge wear, grab a cup of coffee or your favorite glass of wine and let's get to work. No matter where you are in the planning process, whether it’s in the beginning, middle, or end there is something on this list that you can relate to.

Let's get started:

  1. Create your registry.

    • What do you want on your registry?

    • Make sure you put items you will actually use

    • Some couples also have newlywed starter funds or honeymoon funds

    • The options are endless

  2. Research your vendors

    • Do you have some vendors you have saved, but you haven’t reached out?  Get to know them, find out their pricing and book them if you can.

3. Write your vows

  • For couples who plan on doing their own vows this would be a good time to gather your thoughts and start writing out your vows. Who says you have to wait until right before the wedding to write your vows?

4. Work on your Save the Dates/Invitations

  • Do you want custom or semi custom?

  • Do you have an idea how much they will cost you?

  • Research a designer or website that you want to use

  • Remember the save the date/invite is a catalyst to your big day. It sets the tone to your clients on what to expect the day of your wedding

5. Look for wedding inspiration

  • What are your colors?

  • What’s the mood that you want to set for your wedding?

  • What do you want to wear? What would you like your bridal party to wear?

  • What’s the latest trends? Do you want to be trendy or different?

  • Look at centerpiece ideas

  • Reception layout ideas

  • Ceremony decor

6. Write Thank you Notes

  • Bridal shower

  • Engagement shower

  • After the wedding, thank yous for the gifts

7. Work on your wedding playlist

  • What songs do you want to walk down the aisle in?

  • Think of songs for the reception. What song do you want to play during your introduction? First dance song?

  • Must have songs for the reception

8. Create/Work on your guest list

  • This requires help from a few people. I usually suggest that you create a list, have your fiance create their list, and then have both set of parents create a list

  • Once you get all of the list compile them and make a master list and start cutting from there
